ValvTechnologies Europe were contacted by a large Italian refinery in the early hours of a Saturday morning to repair two 16″ valves which had severe Hydrogen leaks from their glands. We mobilised within 24 hours and attended site to remove the topworks and after the component’s were inspected the valves re-packed with low emission packing to the manufacturers standard. The client was delighted with our responsiveness and our technical advice.
ValvTechnologies Europe received a call from a Oil and Gas client with a leaking `14″ Neles metal seated ball valve on critical service duty. Upon inspection it was apparent the ball and seats were badly scored and we need to react very quickly to restore sealing surfaces and recertify.

Valv has taken delivery of the first three of five new leak test machines from Metrus. Part of the current £1M workshopupgrade programme, the machines will provide state of the art accuracy and repeatability, including digital bubble counters and the ability to upload test data to the Valve Management Database in real time.
